Dr. George Senosha

Dr. George Senosha, born on a farm in Bela-Bela, South Africa, is the embodiment of servant leadership shaped by humble beginnings and a powerful commitment to community upliftment.

As one of ten siblings, he learned early the values of perseverance, resilience, and collective responsibility—qualities that continue to define his leadership style.

He holds two doctoral degrees: one in Business Development and Administration, and another in Community Building. His academic background also includes qualifications in Hotel and Hospitality Management, Human Resources, and Industrial Relations (UNISA).

Dr. Senosha began his career in the hospitality industry before expanding into tourism, where he played pivotal roles on various industry boards. In 1997, he joined Pick n Pay Bela-Bela, eventually making history as the first black South African to own a Pick n Pay franchise—introducing the brand into a township setting.

His Rotary journey is marked by exceptional dedication. Inducted as District Governor in June 2024, he has served in numerous leadership roles: AG, Chair of RCC, RYLA, Rotary Means Business, and Director of Township Projects. Notably, he pioneered the drive to establish over 100 Rotary Community Corps (RCCs) across District 9400, cementing grassroots engagement across communities.

Dr. Senosha is the founder and president of Ditsala Children’s Shield and Projects and serves as Chief Public Relations Officer for the Community Transformation Accelerator Program (CTAP). He led the Rotary Club of Waterkloof as President (2019–2021).
His accolades include the Raymond Ackerman Chairman’s Award, Best Social Responsibility National Award, City of Tshwane Community Builder (2018), Paul Harris Recognition (2023), and the Public Image Award from PDG Lee-Ann Shearing.
